Elliott Jones


   Elliott focuses on corporate reorganization, bankruptcy and corporate matters. Elliott attended Montgomery Bell Academy and Vanderbilt University where he was a starting pitcher for the varsity baseball team. He was also the first professional baseball player from either Montgomery Bell Academy or Vanderbilt. Following two years of professional baseball in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, Elliott returned to Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was the Associate Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. After graduation, Elliott served as law clerk to Chief Judge Harry Phillips of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Court.

   Over the last twenty years and prior to forming Emerge Law, Elliott has been affiliated with several large regional law firms. He was also Senior Counsel for the Hospital Corporation of America from 1979-1984, concentrating in mergers, acquisitions, financing and securities regulation. Elliott founded, operated and financed business in the real estate development, retail, oil and gas, and restaurant industries, and he has reorganized businesses in over sixty separate industries.
